itsukiA Lovely Boy is the only animefanlistings.org approved site for the character of Koizumi Itsuki from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya/Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.A member of a secret society of Espers known as "The Agency", Itsuki is sent to Haruhi Suzumiya's high school in order to keep an eye on her on behalf of his fellow Agency members. He is chosen by Haruhi for the SOS Brigade because he is a "mysterious transfer student" -- and that he is! With a serene smile and oddly philosophical outlook on the world, you can never be quite sure what Itsuki is thinking; this charm and inscrutability naturally leads to Haruhi's interest in him, and Kyon's frequent frustration and disapproval. He has revealed himself to a powerful warrior when called on to protect the Brigade, and certainly no slouch when it comes to keeping Haruhi from destroying the world as they know it. Of course, he takes a more passive-aggressive stance to his duties, and has been known to go to elaborate, often theatrical lengths to accomplish relatively simple tasks.
