Gippal, along with the majority of the world, has several quirks, both in stance and speech.

He is extremely expressive with his hands. While talking in Luca Stadium, he frequently moves his hands to emphasize a point or reassure a comrade.

His most common stance is with his right hand on his hip, torso slightly back. This indicates a confident, slightly cocky person who can openly appraise a situation with little to no embarrassment. He will also place both hands on the back of his hips when asking a question.

Gippal has little to no concept of personal space, and doesn't mind getting quite close in order to read your response -- or maybe just to flirt. When confused or thinking, he'll often put his hands together in front of his torso, cross his arms, or most commonly of all bend his head and scratch the back of his head or neck, subconsciously lowering his eyes and keeping his hands busy. Sometimes this can mean that a person internally fears appearing clueless or out of control.

Gippal's tone rarely pushes past easy-going and laidback. When panicked he'll speak louder, but typically remain on the same even level. There's often a laugh in his words, and he'll tack on phrases such as "man". Occasionally he'll drop the 'g's from his words, and his accent has been likened at times to that of someone from the Northern United States, specifically New York.

Gippal often gives his friends unusual nicknames. Some indicate their personality ("Dr. P"), some their status in his eyes ("Cid's Little Girl"), and yet others are simply because they sound amusing ("Noojmeister").
