Fuuka is introduced as the sickly victim of bullying, the kind of girl who would rather live her life behind a computer screen than stand up to her tormentors. However, after being rescued from Tartarus by SEES after a prank gone awry, Fuuka comes to realize that she's just as strong as the people around her -- albeit in a slightly different way. Unable to fight with swords and fists, Fuuka finds that she has a talent for clairvoyance. She can discover the enemy's weakness more often than not and give sound battle advice from there. Eventually, this talent will become indispensable to the party.

SEES helps Fuuka as much as she helps them. Through their friendship, she's able to discover a courageous side of herself she once thought impossible. In the end, Fuuka is a strong, determined young lady who is willing to protect her friends no matter the cost.
